‘Ffydd’ ~ Faith

‘Ffydd’
In the Welsh language ‘Ffydd’ means ‘Faith’. As I was born in Wales and spent most of my life there, the language was central to the culture and traditions of the communities where I lived. A beautiful, ancient and poetic language, Welsh has been passed down through generations and thousands of years to be rescued from the brink of extinction by the Welsh people. Now it is widely used and central to the fabric of life. This painting is dedicated to everyone who participated in the spirit of its revival. It is a painting about peace, beauty and tranquility.
